Supporting CNAs furthering their medical careers.
Applicants must:
- Currently reside in Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, or Winnebago County;
- Have a nursing aid certification (CNA) and have worked as a CNA in the northern Illinois region, ideally in a long-term facility; and
- Intend to pursue additional degree or certifications in the medical field such as nursing.
Specifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who currently work as a CNA at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford, IL, or have experience working with seniors or in long-term facilities.
For the purposes of this scholarship, a long-term care facility is defined as a facility that provides rehabilitative, restorative, and/or ongoing skilled nursing care to patients or residents in need of assistance with activities of daily living. This can include assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or skilled nursing facilities.
